Amanda Maynard, MA, is a master’s-level clinician with a degree in Counseling and Psychology from Lesley University, where their clinical training centered on holistic therapies and trauma studies. Amanda offers individual therapy for teens and adults of all genders and sexualities.

Amanda understands that arriving in therapy can be difficult, especially if you are feeling depressed, anxious, or moving through a major life transition. Her areas of expertise include grief, complex family dynamics, queer identity development, and trauma recovery. Whatever your current circumstances, Amanda is dedicated to deep, compassionate, and healing therapeutic work.

Her approach is grounded in meeting each client exactly where they are. Amanda believes that trust and genuine connection are essential foundations for transformation. Through a strengths-based, somatically focused, and compassionate approach, she helps clients build on what already works well in their lives to create relief and meaningful change. In addition, Amanda integrates an understanding of how systems of oppression shape our mental health and wellness, inviting awareness and empowerment into the therapeutic process.

Amanda provides flexible telehealth appointments, including some evening availability. She is able to accept Aetna, BCBS, United Healthcare, Optum, Mass General Brigham Health, and Allways health plans. Please reach out with any questions or to check on status for another plan.
